RETURNS / REFUNDS / EXCHANGES

Barefoot Dwelling vintage and mid-century modern pieces are re-purposed and rescued for a new chapter. Pieces are restored and/or re-upholstered, but all items are authentic and 40+ years old. Listings will include a condition overview, details of restoration where applicable and pictures of patina and wear.  We invite inquiries about each item before you purchase so please contact us with condition questions before you buy. Once purchased, items are delivered in as-described condition unless damaged during transit.

We will accept returns of damaged pieces within the following guidelines only:
Damages and refund request must be emailed to style@barefootdwelling.com within 48 hours of receipt of goods. Email must include order number, date of order, reason for return, pictures of the item and pictures of the original packaging. Please keep all original packaging so that it can be inspected by carrier.
If your item was damaged in transit, we will issue a return authorization for it's return. At that time the item must be returned to us in the same condition that you received it. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to confirm receipt and notify you of the status of your refund.
If you are returning an an item over $75, you must use a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item and will not issue a credit or a refund for an item we do not receive.
Refunds of damaged items are issued in the original payment form and price.
Non-eligible Items for Return: Sale Items, Wall Art, Lighting, Rugs, Furniture, Custom / Personalized Orders
We will accept returns of undamaged items for a store credit only and within the following guidelines:
Your return request must be emailed to style@barefootdwelling.com within 48 hours of receipt of goods. Email must include order number, date of order, reason for return, pictures of the item and pictures of the original packaging. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to confirm receipt and notify you of the status of your store credit. Your store credit will be for the amount paid, less original shipping and handling and return shipping charges. Please allow for 5-10 business days for your store credit to be issued.
If you are returning an an item over $75, you must use a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item and will not issue a credit or a refund for an item we do not receive.

If you return an item that included free shipping, the credit you receive will be for the item price minus our standard shipping cost as well as a 25% restocking fee. The only exception to this policy is if the item received is damaged in delivery, in which case you will not be charged a re-stocking fee.
Please note that Barefoot Dwelling will not accept liability for shipping loss or damage of returned goods.
 
ORDER CHANGES and CANCELATIONS
Barefoot Dwelling is not able to alter or cancel orders once they have been placed. Refused packages will be assessed and charged a 25% restocking fee.
PRICE ADJUSTMENT POLICY
Barefoot Dwelling will honor price adjustments for merchandise purchased within 3 days of the start of the initial sale/ promotional period. Adjustments will be issued as store credit. No price adjustments will be made on items originally purchased at discount or during a temporary promotional period.
SPECIAL ORDERS
All special orders are items made to order and are non-refundable. A 50%, non-refundable deposit is required when placing all special orders.
EXCHANGES (if applicable)
Our items are one of a kind vintage pieces so we cannot guarantee an exact replacement of damaged items. If you received a  damaged items and would like to exchange it for a similar item, send us an email at style@barefootdwelling.com within 48 hours of receipt of the item and we will do our best to suggest an alternative from our in-stock inventory.
