The maker and date of this chair are unclear. Wright Auctions, America's leading mid-century auction house, identifies the maker as Van Keppel Green, c.1950. Other dealers identify the designer as Frederick Weinberg from the 1950s. Others debate they are Mombasa chairs by Pier 1 Imports in the early 1990s. Debatable yes, however no matter who designed this chair, it is a wonderful with excellent form and construction. Chair has a flaw in the seat.
