The blanket Toskaft was designed based on the theme past-present, and inspiration was found in a photograph of curtains designed by Annelise Knudtzon for Røros Tweed in the 1970s. Polmar was inspired by the simple and straightforward fabric, and attracted to it´s everyday expression.
Polmar´s design is based on classical weaving techniques, translated into a contemporary and clean expression. The stitches work as building blocks, or pixels, in a graphic composition. The different color versions provide the same pattern with very different looks, from discreet neutrals to more colorful and playful
